Under a headline “Obama speech on race gives Web a workout,” USA Today took a look at how the candidate’s take on race relations in America played out on the Internet. The article includes statistics on the number of hits and stories and blog entries out there about Obama’s Philadelphia speech. It’s interesting that how a story plays out on the Web has become the story itself.

What was most interesting for me was not how many people sought to hear or read about the speech but the forecasts of political analysts as to how the speech will affect Obama’s candidacy. Some of the forecasts seemed far-fetched, but it’s good to know what the experts think the general reaction to this speech will be.

I haven’t heard the speech as of yet, but it has captivated to ears and lives of Americans. Obama’s speech set the foundation and broke the boundary of race in society. This speech was a new stepping stone into the furture for mankind anywhere and everywhere.
